Buying gold, minus the maze

Three steps. No spreadsheets, no sales calls.

1

Pick your bar

Start with the classic 1oz bar, the easiest size to compare like-for-like across dealers.

2

See the real price

We add every fee (premium, delivery, card surcharge) so the number you see is the number you pay.

3

Buy direct

Head to the dealer that's cheapest for you. We never handle your money or your metal.

The six fees, in plain English

The stuff dealers don't always put on the sticker.

Premium over spot

The margin above the metal's raw value: the biggest cost, and the one we compute live per product. ‘Spot’ means the live global market price of one troy ounce of the pure metal, before any dealer adds their markup.

Delivery

Free at most dealers; a few charge £6–£15. Always insured for bullion.

Payment surcharge

Bank transfer is usually free; cards can add ~2%. Toggle it above to see the difference.

Storage (per year)

Only if you vault instead of taking delivery. A recurring fee, shown separately.

Buy-back spread

The gap below spot when you sell back. It decides your true round-trip cost.

Minimum order

Mostly none, but some unlock free storage or delivery above a threshold.
